Jorie Waterman Joins MRM Worldwide In New York as Director of Search
NEW YORK—(March 18, 2009)—MRM Worldwide has hired Jorie Waterman in the new position of SVP, Director of Search at its New York headquarters. Ms Waterman reports to Aimee Reker who oversees MRM’s global search offering across MRM’s 62 offices.
Effective immediately, Waterman will lead the New York office’s search marketing strategies and search-driven content development for clients including, ExxonMobil, Intel, Lunesta, and the U.S. Army.
Waterman brings more than a decade of experience in search strategy analytics, linguistic profiling and search-related product development.
At MRM Worldwide’s New York office, Waterman is working to infuse search and search strategy into the core offering of the agency. “The quality of MRM’s creative, world-class analytics, focus on digital strategy, not to mention its global footprint, make it the ideal place for search to thrive,” she said. “Search is an opportunity to hear what consumers are looking for in the language that is natural for them.”
Waterman was most recently at Microsoft where she was Lead Product Planner for Targeting. Her responsibilities included planning cycles for behavioral targeting, profile targeting, and re-messaging—a natural progression from her foundation in keyword research.
Prior to that position, she was Microsoft’s Lead Program Manager for adCenter’s Keyword Services Platform, which leveraged her six-plus years of search marketing experience most notably that at search agency iCrossing and at Comet Systems, which is now part of the search engine MIVA.
“Search provides a unique opportunity to understand customer behavior,” said Aimee Reker, SVP, Global Director of Search at MRM Worldwide. “Since we are a full service digital agency, we are able to move the needle on search, and through search, in ways that media or search-only agencies cannot. “
Added Corey Mitchell, MRM New York’s Managing Director, “Jorie’s ability to lead teams that glean insight will help MRM’s clients maximize content and social media investments out of the gate. We are delighted to have somebody of Jorie’s caliber join our global search team.”
