Covario Takes SEO Deployment Software Global with Multi-Language Capability
Leading Search Firm Upgrades Technology Gained in Netconcepts Acquisition
SAN DIEGO, April 20, 2010 — Covario, a leader in search and display advertising software and agency services for Forbes Global 2000 companies, released a major SEO software upgrade that supports multi-byte characters and foreign languages for two of the fastest growing services within its Deployment Solutions product line.
One is called Mobile Site Optimizer for mobile devices and the other one for the desktop is Organic Search Optimizer — proprietary software previously known as GravityStream acquired as part of Covario’s recent acquisition of Netconcepts of Madison, Wis.
SEO deployment software gives large multichannel advertisers the ability to quickly and reliably drive their websites’ organic search performance both on desktop and mobile devices. Covario’s offerings have been particularly attractive to e-commerce and retail customers, who have massive search campaigns aimed at increasing sales among millions of consumers, while reducing acquisition costs and the need for IT support. Some of Covario’s largest clients in this space include Cabelas, Woolrich and Northern Tool.
Whether optimized for desktop or mobile devices, Covario’s suite of Deployment Solutions give marketers the flexibility to configure thousands of Web pages “on the fly” based on unique search queries from site visitors shopping among an array of ever-changing product lines (as in the case of a retailer) or pouring through massive amounts of content (say from a magazine or newspaper publisher).
With the launch of the new multi-byte character capability, Covario expects its Organic Search Optimizer and Mobile Site Optimizer solutions to appeal to a broader cross-section of global multichannel marketers who need to communicate in their customers’ native languages. In addition to support for single-byte Roman characters like English, French and Spanish, the new system supports such diverse character sets as Cyrillic, Chinese, Kanji and Hindi, as well as the Scandinavian and Germanic languages.
“We see SEO going global,” said Craig Macdonald Covario’s CMO and senior vice president, products. “Large advertisers like those we cater to must be able to deploy in all countries to support their global launches. Our Deployment Solutions are designed to drive not only fast, but now globally scalable, SEO launches.”
Macdonald cited Lenovo, an existing Covario client, which has already agreed to use the service in Brazil, where it will optimize its site in Portuguese.
This SEO software upgrade is also at the center of a new marketing campaign Covario is launching this week. The campaign focuses on search marketing software and agency solutions that help global multichannel marketers accelerate their SEO development, deployment and conversion results.
